The Fruit:
Sourced from the organically grown J&J family site this
single vineyard shiraz comprises of the fruit at the northern
end of the property making up the “Buffer Zone” .
Organically grown and produced this wine is not labeled
so due to the close proximity of the neighbouring, non
organic vineyard.
A mild summer and above average rainfalls made for
challenging growing conditions, though this resulting
wine is still offers in abundance all the flavours and
characters you should expect from a quality Shiraz. Open
fermentation and careful aging in French and American
oak give the wine balance and complexity

Aromatics: Excellent nose dominated by currents, wild
berries and well integrated oak.

flavours of red currents, wild berries and ripe plums open
up to reveal an interestingly spicy finish.
